Italian Ispell
Installation Instructions

Requirements:
     the last release of Ispell, compiled with the ISO character set enabled
     (you need to comment the line "#define NO8BIT" in the file "local.h" in
     the distribution of ispell).
Installation:
     In order to install the italian dictionary you have to follow next
     steps:
       1. Retrieve the last release of the italian affix file, italian
          dictionary and the Makefile.
       2. Go in the directory where you have placed the files:
          "italian.words", "italian.aff" and the "Makefile".
       3. Type "make" at the shell prompt, in order to generate the file
          "italian.hash".
       4. Copy the files "italian.hash" and "italian.aff" in the directory
          where Ispell check for dictionary (for instance
          "/usr/lib/ispell/").
Installation of the Emacs interface:
     In order to use the Italian dictionary inside the Emacs editor, you
     must follow the following instructions:
       1. retrieve the file "ispell-patch.el";
       2. copy the file "ispell-patch.el" in a directory searched by Emacs
          for files to load;
       3. load the file "ispell-patch.el" in your ".emacs".

If you install the Ispell from scratch, you have to follow the instructions
given with the package.
